Job Title: Senior Electrical Engineer – Power Generation & Distribution

Job Responsibilities
- Conducting technical surveys and preparing project studies including BOQ’s, project specifications, calculation sheets and drawings
- Preparing, scheduling, coordinating, and monitoring of assigned engineering projects.
- Formulating project parameters and assigning responsibilities to the most capable team members and monitoring the project team.
- Interacting with clients and departments, interpreting the needs and requirements, and representing them in the field.
- Performing quality control tasks on budgets, schedules, plans, and personnel performance and reporting on the project’s status.
- Cooperating and communicating with the project manager and other project participants and collaborating to create more efficient project methods and to maintain the project’s profitability.
- Reviewing the engineering tasks and initiating the necessary corrective actions.
- Creating frameworks to measure the project’s metrics and data collection.
- Monitoring the quality and safety during project execution.
Qualifications
- Skilled Engineer with 10+ years of experience having at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering; Masters Degree and other certification is a plus
Required Skills:
- Experience in power generation and distribution projects of which:
- Experience in diesel generators
- Experience in gas generators (MWM, Caterpillar, Jenbacher …)
- Experience in PV and Battery Storage Systems
- Experience in medium voltage (11 & 33 kV) networks such as Transformers, Switchgear, protection
- Experience in power plant design, installation, operation & maintenance.
- Experience in electrical project engineering design: Calculation, simulations & drawings
- Experience with authoritative approvals & procedures for electrical projects: power plants and networks
- Experience in technical surveys and project study documentation (BOQ, Designs etc..)
- Experience in project management and team management
- Experience in project planning, scheduling and documentation
- Experience in Quality and HSE control
- Experience in engineering software for electrical & mechanical designs (Autcad, Etap & others)
- Experience in technical reporting
- Certified by NEMSA, CORIN or others.
Salary
N750,000 – N1,000,000 monthly
