About the role
We are redefining what an in-house agency is and are looking for a graphic designer to join the Herd. As an individual contributor within our marketing organization, your primary responsibilities will involve crafting visually appealing content that supports our marketing efforts within the Domains Services line of business. This will include creating digital graphics, emails, newsletters, display channel ads, social posts, video content, and promotional materials that resonate with our audience and enhance our brand presence.
Job Responsibilities
he role involves collaborating with marketing team members and peers across the business, including sales, product management, business owners, and partners, to deliver quality designs. You will be responsible for the following:
- Maintain and refine our brands’ visual identity, including logos, logo usage, colour palettes, typography, illustrations, iconography, etc.
- Conceptualize, create, and refine marketing campaigns and assets, digital and social assets, and more.
- Design requests for proposal (RFPs) to secure new business and presentation decks for business leaders.
- Create swag and design event collateral (banners, booth kits, conference signage, etc.).
- Develop video content, including sizzle reels, teaser videos, tutorials and how-to demos.
- Maintain and enhance our brand guidelines and intranet site, providing access to brand assets and resources for internal and external use.
- Work closely and collaboratively with the product and marketing team on brand-building and marketing campaigns.
- Be an effective partner with marketing, ensuring that design and marketing work seamlessly together.
- Effectively rationalize and communicate ideas and designs to key stakeholders and senior business leaders.
- Knowledge of print and digital design standards and specifications. Manage print files and liaise with external printers and vendors.
- Create accessible designs that comply with W3C and AODA.
Job Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience as a graphic or visual designer at an advertising agency or in-house design team.
- Possess a certificate, degree, or diploma in graphic design or a related field.
- Provide a portfolio that demonstrates your design skills and conceptual thinking.
- Display strong aesthetic skills and demonstrate a solid understanding of graphic design’s core principles, including typography, layout/composition, grid systems, color, photography, iconography, etc.
- Experience in video creation (simple animation, motion graphics, storyboarding, prototyping, etc.).
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Canva, After Effects, and similar tools.
- Be adept at working collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Employee Benefits
The base salary range for this position is $65,100 to $72,300. Range shown in $CAD for Canadian residents. Other countries will differ. Range may vary on a number of factors including, but not limited to: location, experience and qualifications.
