Job Title: Chief Marketing Officer
Location: (Remote) Lagos
Description
- We are at a critical stage in our growth and have an urgent need for a Chief Marketing Officer. Ideally, we want someone with previous startup experience who has experience in all phases of fundraising and market.
- We are looking for someone to join our Executive Team as our Chief Marketing Officer reporting to our CEO, who is passionate about helping organizations win and bringing out the best in people. A CMO with an exceptional and proven track record of achieving viral network growth.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement the marketing strategy
- Develop key partnerships
- Oversea the social media channels
- Develop, grow and nurture the community
- Ensure incentive strategies align with growth in the network
- Be an advocate for the company and represent them at relevant conferences
- Reviewing product vision and roadmap documents to understand the key technical differentiation of our product versus the competition
- Drafting key marketing messages centered around this differentiation and deciding which customer personas to target
- Reviewing campaigns that were ineffective in delivering the key messages to the target persona(s), identifying the root cause of the ineffectiveness, and providing targeted coaching for your team to design better campaign plans
- Design and deliver bold, strategic marketing campaigns tailored to each of our products’ differentiating factors and key buyer personas.
Requirements
- Prior experience as a CMO
- Experience with a big name game studio or metaverse gaming company
- Proven track record of achieving viral growth in the community and user base
- Knowledge of the P2E sector
- Experience with successful NFT drops
- Experience leading a team in product marketing for an enterprise software product
- Experience in driving the marketing changes from the acquisition of a new company or product
- Have strong opinions and not be afraid of sending out industry-disruptive messages
- Availability to start working within 30 days of receiving an offer
- Experience as a marketing leader for a broad portfolio of B2B software products
