Job Description
- As an Accounts Officer, you will play a crucial role in our financial management and operations. Your responsibilities will include verifying and processing various types of payments, ensuring accurate and timely bank reconciliations, and managing inter-company transactions.
- Your attention to detail and proficiency in accounting practices will help maintain the financial integrity of our organization.
Key Responsibilities
Verifying Bank Payment Vouchers:
- Suppliers: Ensure payments to suppliers are accurately verified and documented.
- Employees: Verify employee-related payments, including reimbursements and payroll disbursements.
- Statutory Payments: Confirm accuracy of statutory payments, such as taxes and social security contributions.
- Transporters: Verify payments to transport service providers.
- Other Payments: Review and validate other miscellaneous payments.
Passing Bank Payment Entries in ERP:
- Accurately record all bank payment transactions in the company’s ERP system to ensure financial data is up-to-date and reliable.
- Uploading All Bank Payments on Bank Portal:
- Handle the uploading of all approved bank payments to the bank portal, ensuring timely and secure processing.
- Bank Reconciliation on Daily Basis:
- Conduct daily bank reconciliations to verify and balance the company’s financial records with bank statements, identifying and resolving any discrepancies.
- Sharing Relevant Documents and Ledger for Inter-company Transactions on a Timely Basis:
- Ensure that all relevant documents and ledger entries for inter-company transactions are shared promptly to facilitate smooth financial operations.
Inter-company Reconciliation on Monthly Basis:
- Perform monthly reconciliations of inter-company accounts to ensure consistency and accuracy across the organization’s financial records.
Qualifications and Experience
- Experience: 5-10 years of experience in accounting or a related field.
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree or Higher National Diploma in Accounting or a related discipline.
- Skills and Competencies
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous and thorough in verifying payment details and maintaining accurate financial records.
- Proficiency in ERP Systems: Experienced in using ERP systems for financial management.
- Analytical Skills: Strong ability to perform reconciliations and identify discrepancies.
- Communication Skills: Effective in sharing financial information and collaborating with other departments.
- Time Management: Capable of managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.
Salary
N100,000 – N150,000 / Month
