Job Description
- The Underwriter will be assisting in carrying out technical operations of underwriting and to promote the revenue, profitablity, and growth of the underwriting department.
Key Responsibilities
- Must have good knowledge and experience in general & Life Insurance.
- Underwriting decision
- Risk management and analysis
- Policy wording and drafting
- Relationship management
- Product development and maintenance
- Technical support and training
Qualifications
- HND / BSC in Insurance or any related field.
- Minimum of 3 – 5 years relevant experience.
- Membership of a professional body would be an added advantage (ACII certification, etc)
- Planning and Organizing.
- Computer Application Proficiency.
- Teamwork & Interpersonal Skills.
- Relationship Management Skills.
- Good Oral & Written Communication Skills.
- Initiative.
- Ability to work with Minimal Supervision.
- Sufficient knowledge and understanding of the general concepts of insurance and life assurance to be able to perform the Principal Tasks.
Salary
N250,000 – N450,000 monthly
