Job Title: Solar Sales Engineer

Job Description

  • As a Sales Engineer , you will be responsible for driving sales of our solar products and solutions.
  • You will work closely with the sales and engineering teams to understand customer requirements, provide technical support, and ensure successful implementation of solar energy systems.
  • Your role will involve identifying customer needs, designing customized solutions, and presenting proposals to potential clients.

Key Responsibilities
Sales and Business Development:

  • Identify and target potential clients in residential, commercial, and industrial sectors.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing customers.
  • Generate leads through networking, cold calling, and other sales techniques.

Technical Support and Solution Design:

  • Conduct site assessments and analyze customer requirements.
  • Design customized solar energy solutions, including system sizing, component selection, and layout.
  • Prepare and present technical proposals and quotations to clients.

Collaboration and Coordination:

  • Work closely with the engineering team to ensure the feasibility and efficiency of proposed solutions.
  • Coordinate with project managers and installation teams to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Provide post-sales support and address any technical issues that arise.

Market Analysis and Strategy:

  • Stay updated on industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities.
  • Contribute to the development of sales strategies and marketing plans.
  • Provide feedback to product development teams on customer needs and preferences.

Customer Education and Training:

  • Conduct product demonstrations and training sessions for customers.
  • Educate clients on the benefits of solar energy and the specifics of our products.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering / Renewable Energy, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in sales engineering, preferably in the solar energy industry.
  • Strong technical knowledge of solar energy systems, including PV panels, inverters, and storage solutions.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to understand and articulate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Proficiency in using sales and CRM software.
  • Ability to travel to client sites as required.

Salary
N200,000 – N500,000 monthly
