Job Description
- A renowned restaurant in Lekki, Lagos, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Restaurant Manager to join our team.
- The Restaurant Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the restaurant’s daily operations, managing a large staff force, and ensuring the highest level of customer service is maintained at all times.
- The successful candidate will work closely with the CEO to streamline operations, drive revenue, and uphold the reputation of the Restaurant as a premier dining destination.
Job Responsibilities
Operational Management:
- Oversee all day-to-day operations of the restaurant, including opening and closing procedures, staffing, inventory management, and cleanliness standards.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a clean and safe working environment for all staff and customers.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to optimize efficiency and productivity.
Staff Management:
- Recruit, train, and manage a diverse team of servers, waiters, kitchen staff, and support personnel.
- Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and performance evaluations to ensure high levels of employee morale and productivity.
- Foster a positive work culture and promote teamwork and collaboration among staff members.
Customer Service:
- Lead by example and set the standard for exceptional customer service.
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback in a timely and professional manner, striving to exceed customer expectations at every opportunity.
- Implement strategies to enhance the overall dining experience and build strong customer relationships.
Financial Management:
- Develop and manage the restaurant budget, including revenue forecasting, expense control, and profit optimization.
- Monitor financial performance metrics and implement strategies to increase profitability and revenue growth.
- Implement cost-saving measures without compromising on quality or service standards.
Leadership and Communication:
- Act as a strong and effective leader, inspiring and motivating staff to achieve their goals and objectives.
- Communicate effectively with the CEO, providing regular updates on restaurant performance, challenges, and opportunities.
- Foster a culture of transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement throughout the organization.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Management / Food Service Management / Business Administration or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in restaurant management, with a proven track record of success in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to command respect and inspire confidence among staff members.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a customer-centric mindset and a passion for delivering exceptional service.
- Highly organized with strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to think quickly on their feet.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and restaurant management software.
- Must be willing to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Salary
N450,000 – N500,000 monthly
