Job Title: Petty Cash Administrator
Location: Ibadan, Oyo

Position Summary
- The Petty Cash Administrator is responsible for managing the petty cash fund, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded, and maintaining appropriate cash levels.
- This role is critical in supporting the daily operational expenses within the logistics firm, ensuring compliance with financial policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
Petty Cash Management:
- Maintain and manage the petty cash fund, ensuring sufficient cash is available for daily operational needs.
- Process petty cash requests, ensuring all expenses are authorized and supported by valid receipts.
- Replenish petty cash fund as needed, following company procedures.
Record Keeping:
- Accurately record all petty cash transactions in the accounting system.
- Maintain detailed records of all disbursements and receipts.
- Prepare periodic petty cash reconciliation reports for review by the Finance Manager.
Compliance and Control:
- Ensure compliance with the company’s petty cash policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular audits of petty cash to prevent and detect any discrepancies.
- Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard the petty cash fund.
Reporting:
- Prepare and submit monthly petty cash reports to the Line Manager
- Assist in preparing financial reports and documentation for audits.
Support and Coordination:
- Coordinate with various departments to facilitate petty cash transactions.
- Provide support and guidance to staff regarding petty cash procedures.
- Assist the Finance Department with other tasks as needed.
Qualifications
- HND or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, etc.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within a logistics or similar industry.
- Strong knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
Working Conditions:
- Office environment with standard working hours.
- Occasional need to handle cash physically and conduct manual reconciliations.
Salary
- N100,000 – N120,000 monthly.
