Job Title: Junior Recruiter (Freelance)
Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Contract
Responsibilities
- Work with the recruitment team and take instructions from them regarding open vacancies.
- Actively listen to role requirements and make notes about those requirements to find suitable candidates for the role.
- Assist with the development and writing of job descriptions.
- Learn and navigate job advertising websites and actively post open vacancies on them.
- Work with the recruiters and managers to screen resumes and learn how to identify good candidates.
- Work effectively as part of a team.
- Complete administrative tasks as required such as, obtaining references from previous employers, obtaining background checks and paperwork such as work status from applicants.
- Learn to use and navigate the CRM/ATS systems and enter candidate data into those systems and ensure it is kept up to date and current.
- Sit in on interviews and make notes on interview techniques and tips to conduct effective interviews.
- Complete initial phone screening of candidates.
- Organize interviews with candidates.
- Send out any required documentation or requests to candidates as instructed by the team.
- Attend sales and customer service training as required and shadow consultants on client meetings.
- Implement and maintain an effective filing system.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in HR, Business, or other related field, or equivalent work experience and education
- Excellent organization skills
- 1+ year experience as a recruiter
- Able to listen and follow instructions
- Able to effectively manage own workload and time to maximize output
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Experience using a CRM or ATS system would be an advantage
- Forward-thinking attitude with the ability to meet and exceed targets
- Experienced with working towards targets and deadlines
- Good knowledge of all Microsoft packages including Word, Outlook, and Excel
- General knowledge of HR best practices would be an advantage
- Good problem solving abilities
- Excellent attention to detail
- Able to work effectively as part of a team to achieve a common goal.
