Job Description

  • We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Project Manager to join our client’s dynamic team in the real estate development industry.
  • The successful candidate will support senior project managers in the planning, execution, and delivery of various real estate development projects.
  • This role is ideal for individuals with foundational project management experience looking to grow their careers in the real estate sector.
  • You will play a crucial role in ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Principal Duties / Responsibilities
Project Planning and Coordination:

  • Assist in developing detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Coordinate project activities, resources, equipment, and information flow to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Maintain and update project schedules and plans to reflect current status and changes.

Stakeholder Communication:

  • Serve as a point of contact for project stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and vendors.
  • Facilitate effective communication and information sharing among project team members.
  • Prepare and present project status reports and updates to senior management and stakeholders.

Risk Management:

  • Identify potential project risks and issues early in the project lifecycle.
  • Assist in developing and implementing risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans.
  • Monitor and report on the progress of risk management activities, ensuring timely resolution of issues.

Quality Assurance:

  • Ensure project deliverables meet established quality standards and client expectations.
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor project progress and adherence to quality standards.
  • Assist in resolving any quality-related issues and implement corrective actions as needed.

Financial Management:

  • Support the management of project budgets, tracking expenditures and financial performance.
  • Assist in the preparation and analysis of financial reports and forecasts.
  • Ensure project costs are controlled and managed within the approved budget.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including plans, schedules, reports, and correspondence.
  • Prepare regular project status reports, highlighting key milestones, issues, and risks.
  • Document lessons learned and contribute to the continuous improvement of project management processes.

Team Support:

  • Assist senior project managers in managing project teams and delegating tasks effectively.
  • Provide administrative support, including scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, and taking minutes.
  • Foster a collaborative and productive team environment, encouraging open communication and teamwork.

Compliance and Standards:

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes in real estate development and project management.
  • Implement and uphold project management best practices and methodologies to ensure project success.

Client Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and ensuring their satisfaction.
  • Address client concerns promptly and professionally, providing regular updates and managing expectations.
  • Gather client feedback and implement improvements to enhance client experience and project outcomes.

Vendor and Contractor Coordination:

  • Liaise with vendors and contractors to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers, ensuring favorable terms and conditions.
  • Monitor vendor and contractor performance, ensuring adherence to project specifications and timelines.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Project Management / Construction Management / Real Estate / Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 1 – 3 years of experience in project management, preferably in the real estate development industry.
  • Basic understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Asana, Trello) and MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to anticipate and address project challenges.

Salary
N230,000 monthly
