Job Title: Chief of Staff to a Public Service Appointee
Location: Abuja (FCT)

Reporting: Reports directly to the Public Service Appointee
Objective
- To provide executive support to the Public Service Appointee by managing oce operations, enhancing strategic communication, and facilitating the execution of public health initiatives.
Role Summary
- The Chief of Staff will act as the primary aide and operational manager to the Public Service Appointee, ensuring that the strategic objectives and daily functions of the office are conducted efficiently and effectively. This role involves high-level administrative management, strategic planning, and stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Management: Assist the Public Service Appointee in developing and implementing strategic plans and initiatives that align with the President’s priorities.
- Operational Coordination: Oversee the daily operations of the office, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard. Manage scheduling, correspondence, and staffing issues to optimise workow. Ensure a professional and positive working environment that aligns with the values and goals of the presidency.
- Communication: Act as a primary point of contact between the Special Assistant’s office and other stakeholders, including other offices within the executive branch, external organisations, and the public.
- Advisory Role: Provide informed advice to the Public Service Appointee on various topics relevant to the office’s objectives. Ensure the Public Service Appointee is well-prepared for meetings, briefings, and public appearances.
- Project Management: Coordinate major projects and initiatives, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
- Reporting and Documentation: Prepare and present reports on the status of initiatives and other matters of importance to the Public Service Appointee.
- Public Relations and Visibility: Develop and oversee the implementation of a communications strategy to enhance the public visibility of the office’s initiatives. Manage media relations and coordinate with the communications team for public announcements and press releases.
- Strategic Partnerships: Identify and engage with potential business and partnership opportunities to advance the office’s public health goals. Facilitate negotiations and meetings with external partners and stakeholders.
- Resourcefulness: Demonstrate proactive problem-solving skills, especially in high-pressure or complex situations.
- Schedule Management: Organise and prioritise the Public Service Appointee’s calendar to ensure optimal time allocation for critical meetings, public engagements, and strategic planning sessions.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Public Administration, Political Science, Business Administration, or a related eld. A Master’s degree or higher is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in a government, executive, or senior administrative role with proven leadership and management experience.
Skills:
- Strong leadership and decision-making skills.

- Strong capability in using IT software and tools relevant to office and project management.

Salary
N700,000 – N900,000 Monthly.
