Job Description
- We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Officer to join our team in Lagos, Nigeria.
- The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in expanding our client base and promoting our comprehensive procurement and payment facilitation services.
Duties / Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to drive company growth
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with potential and existing clients
- Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities in global procurement
- Create and deliver compelling presentations on MPS services to prospective clients
- Collaborate with the procurement team to understand client needs and tailor solutions
- Negotiate contracts and close deals with new clients
- Develop strategies to increase market share and improve the company’s competitive position
- Monitor and report on sales activities, opportunities, and market trends
- Represent MPS at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions
- Work closely with other departments to ensure client satisfaction and retention.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration / International Trade, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in business development, preferably in procurement or international trade
- Strong understanding of global procurement processes and payment solutions
- Must have a Client base of Corporate organizations
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Fluency in English; knowledge of other languages is a plus
- Willingness to travel occasionally for client meetings or industry events.

Salary
N200,000 – N300,000 monthly, plus performance-based bonuses.
