Job Description
- We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Development Lead to join our team.
- The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving business growth by developing and executing strategic marketing initiatives, building and nurturing high-value partnerships, crafting compelling grant and regular proposals, and representing the company at various high-profile events.
- This role demands a proactive, innovative, and results-oriented professional with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to drive company growth.
- Develop and execute marketing strategies to enhance brand awareness and drive lead generation.
- Oversee the creation of marketing materials and campaigns.
- Collaborate with the media and communications team on digital marketing efforts, including social media, email marketing, and SEO.
- Establish and maintain strategic partnerships with private organisations, government institutions, donor agencies and INGOs
- Lead business negotiations and secure partnerships that align with company goals.
- Manage and nurture existing partnerships to ensure long-term success.
- Lead the development of grant and service offering proposals to secure funding and new business.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary information and insights for proposals.
- Prepare and deliver engaging presentations to potential clients, partners, and stakeholders.
- Identify and represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events.
- Participate in high-profile meetings and provide strategic insights.
- Identify opportunities for sponsorships, speaking engagements, and other event participation to drive awareness and lead generation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
- 4 – 5 years experience in similar role.
- Experience in a consulting firm can be an added advantage
- Proven track record in business development, marketing, and strategic partnership development and management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong presentation and public speaking abilities.
- Ability to develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
- Experience in proposal writing and grant applications.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
- Highly motivated, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to travel as required.
