Job Title: Accountant

Responsibilities
Financial Management:

  • Manage all aspects of financial accounting, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Monitor cash flow, expenses, and revenue to ensure financial stability and profitability.
  • Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to improve efficiency and compliance.
  • Conduct regular financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks.

Spa Business Operations:

  • Collaborate with spa management team to develop and monitor budgets for each department within the spa.
  • Provide financial guidance and support to spa managers in decision-making processes.
  • Monitor inventory levels and manage procurement processes to ensure adequate supply without excessive costs.
  • Analyze pricing strategies and revenue streams to optimize profitability while maintaining competitive pricing.

Compliance and Audit:

  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including tax laws and financial reporting standards.
  • Prepare financial documents and reports for audits and regulatory filings.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory agencies as necessary.

Team Leadership and Development:

  • Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff, providing guidance and training as needed.
  • Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment that encourages teamwork and professional growth.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost-saving initiatives.
  • Implement systems and tools to streamline accounting processes and enhance efficiency.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to spa accounting and finance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., ACA, ACCA) preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • Previous experience working in a spa or hospitality business is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of financial principles, practices, and regulations.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong leadership and communication abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Salary
N400,000 – N450,000 / month.
