Job Purpose
- This position will oversee entire research and business intelligence function for our real estate agency.
- The scope includes undertaking market research, data gathering, data analysis, intelligence reports, insights into relevant trends.
Job Summary
- The position plays a crucial role in shaping the organization’s real estate projects by providing strategic insights, data-driven analysis, and innovation across all stages of property development.
- He/she will be primarily responsible for leading the Research, Development & Property Analysis department and ensure that our projects are well-informed and aligned with market trends and client needs.
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership to the Research, Development & Property Analysis department, setting clear objectives and goals.
- Develop and implement research and analysis strategies to support the company’s growth and expansion plans.
- Stay informed about industry trends, market dynamics, and emerging technologies to guide our development strategies.
- Conduct in-depth market research and analysis to identify investment opportunities and potential risks.
- Analyze market trends, demographics, and competitive landscapes to inform decision-making.
- Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to understand client needs and preferences, and provide up to date commentary on competitors marketing activity, incentives, and product innovations.
- Identify innovative solutions and technologies to enhance business sustainability.
- Manage budgets and financial forecasting for the Research, Development & Property Analysis department.
- Monitor profitability, making recommendations for cost reduction and profit optimization. Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of research assistants, analysts, and development professionals.
- Works closely with the relevant team to provide sales opinion and indicative pricing on proposed development for appraisal and bidding purposes.
- Develops new external relationships and maintains existing ones with industry professionals and data sources.
- Any other tasks as may be required by the business or as assigned by the COO and MD.
Qualifications
- First degree in relevant disciplines from a reputed university, preferably in real estate, urban studies, economics, finance, or related fields.
- Knowledgeable about the commercial real estate & property market and best practices
- Proven experience in real estate research, property analysis, and development, with at least5 years in a leadership role.
- Strong analytical, financial modeling, and data interpretation skills.
- In-depth knowledge of the real estate market, including local and regional trends.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Effective communication and presentation abilities.
- Proficiency in relevant software and tools for data analysis and reporting.
Competencies:
- Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel, and Power Point), PowerBI and other data manipulation/communication tools.
- A good understanding of quantitative analytical tools and research methodologies.
- Proficiency in the use of analytical and statistical software packages
- Sound organizational and data management skills and ability to work under tight time constraints.
- Demonstrate experience in research, fieldwork, and data collection on issues relating to real estate.
- Proven ability to manage large and complex databases.

N450,000 – N550,000 monthly.
