Job Title: School Managing Director

Description 

  • The Managing Director (MD) will be responsible for the overall management and strategic direction of the Academy. The MD will ensure that the institution’s mission, vision, and goals are achieved while maintaining the highest standards of educational excellence and operational efficiency.
  • The Managing Director (MD) will play a pivotal role in driving growth, enhancing academic quality, fostering community relationships, ensuring financial stability, and elevating the School’s brand and global presence.

Key Responsibilities 
Strategic Leadership:

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to advance the Academy’s mission and objectives.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of long-term goals and objectives to achieve the successful outcome of the Academy’s educational programs.
  • Work with the CEO and Advisory Board to shape the strategic direction and policy of the Academy.
  • Operational Management:
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the Academy to ensure the smooth functioning of all departments.
  • Ensure compliance with educational standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.
  • Oversee the management of staff, resources, and facilities to maintain a conducive learning environment.

Academic Excellence:

  • Foster an environment of academic excellence and continuous improvement in teaching and learning.
  • Implement best practices in curriculum development, teaching methodologies, and student assessment.
  • Promote professional development opportunities for academic staff.

Financial Management:

  • Develop and manage the Academy’s budget to ensure financial health and sustainability.
  • Oversee financial planning, reporting, and auditing processes.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities for funding, grants, and partnerships.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with students, parents, staff, and the wider community.
  • Represent the Academy in public forums, meetings, and events.
  • Communicate effectively with all stakeholders to keep them informed of developments and achievements.

Business Development:

  • Identify opportunities for growth and expansion of the Academy’s programs and services.
  • Develop marketing and outreach strategies to attract and retain students.
  • Enhance the Academy’s reputation and market position.

Brand Communication and Innovation:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive brand communication strategies to enhance the Academy’s image and visibility.
  • Foster a culture of innovation in teaching, learning, and operational practices.
  • Leverage technology and new methodologies to improve the educational experience.

Accreditations Local and Foreign:

  • Ensure the Academy meets and maintains all necessary local and international accreditation standards.
  • Lead efforts to obtain new accreditations and certifications that enhance the Academy’s credibility and marketability.
  • Regularly review and update compliance with accreditation requirements.

International Partnerships:

  • Identify and establish partnerships with international educational institutions and organizations.
  • Facilitate student and faculty exchange programs, collaborative research, and joint initiatives.
  • Promote global learning opportunities and multicultural experiences within the Academy.

Governance:

  • Work closely with the CEO and Advisory Board of Directors to ensure effective governance of the Academy.
  • Prepare and present reports on the Academy’s performance and strategic initiatives.
  • Ensure adherence to the Academy’s policies and procedures.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

Academic Performance:

  • Improvement in student academic outcomes and performance metrics.
  • High student retention and graduation rates.
  • Positive feedback from student and parent surveys.

Financial Performance:

  • Achieving and maintaining a balanced budget.
  • Growth in revenue from tuition, grants, and other funding sources.
  • Efficient cost management and financial reporting.

Operational Efficiency:

  • Smooth and efficient day-to-day operations.
  • Compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies.

High staff retention and satisfaction rates.
Growth and Expansion:

  • Increase in student enrollment numbers (local & from diasporans).
  • Successful implementation of new programs and initiatives.
  • Enhanced reputation and market position of the School.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Strong and positive relationships with students, parents, and staff.
  • Active participation and representation in community and educational forums.
  • Effective communication and feedback mechanisms.

Strategic Implementation:

  • Achievement of strategic goals and objectives.
  • Successful execution of long-term plans and initiatives.
  • Regular reporting and updates to the CEO and Advisory Board.

Brand Communication and Innovation:

  • Achievement and maintenance of required local and international accreditations.

Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Education, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 8 years work experience.
  • Proven experience in educational leadership and management, preferably in a similar setting.
  • Strong strategic planning and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership abilities.
  • Financial acumen and experience in budget management.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Commitment to educational excellence and continuous improvement.

Salary
N500,000 monthly.
