The main function of a non-IT project manager is to plan, direct, or coordinate activities in such fields as engineering, research and development, financial systems and product roll-out, etc or any other non-IT based project.
Job Responsibilities:
- Own internal tools to track development of solutions for product enhancements and escalations and meet field and customer timelines.
- Lead and manage multiple virtual teams, ensuring effective collaboration and communication to achieve goals in time and budget.
- Conduct regular meetings to track progress, identify action items, assign owners, and ensure follow-up.
- Maintain a high level of priority and energy to inspire teams and foster a culture of excellence.
- Coordinate cross-functional efforts to meet project milestones and deliverables.
- Utilize data analysis skills to extract meaningful insights and trends from large datasets.
- Design and maintain sales reports in partnership with Data scientists, including pivot tables and PowerBI to deliver high-impact sales performance analytics.
- Coordinate projects, making detailed plans to accomplish goals and directing the integration of technical activities.
- Present and explain proposals, reports and findings to clients.
- Recruit employees, assign, direct, and evaluate their work, and oversee the development and maintenance of staff competence.
- Analyze technology, resource needs and market demand, to plan and assess the feasibility of projects.
- Confer with management, production and marketing staff to discuss project specifications and procedures.
- Review and recommend or approve contracts and cost estimates.
Qualifications
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
- Exceptional data analysis capabilities, with experience in handling large databases.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, data manipulation, and report generation.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and guide teams.
- Adaptable, versatile leader that can make educated decisions and estimations on the go
Skills:
- Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, attention to detail and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage one’s time.
- Knowledge of production processes, quality control, costs and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
- Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, and production methods.
- Knowledge of computer software, such as MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, Visio etc.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field.
- PMI or PMP certification preferred.
- 5-7 years experience required.
The target hiring compensation range for this role is $53-57/hr. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
