Description
- As Quality Control/Procurement Supervisor, your role involves implementing stringent quality control measures and managing supplier relationships.
- The ideal candidate must have a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and a deep understanding of the fashion industry (mandatory). Only qualified candidates with the required experience in fashion will be shortlisted.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement quality control processes to ensure products meet specified standards.
- Inspect incoming materials and finished products to meet quality and safety standards.
- Conduct regular audits of production processes and provide feedback to improve quality.
- Address and resolve any quality issues or defects promptly.
- Prepare, maintain and present detailed records/reports of quality inspections, tests, and audits on quality control and procurement activities to senior management.
- Source and negotiate with suppliers for the best prices, quality, and delivery terms.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the General Manager to ensure adequate stock.
- Track orders and ensure timely delivery of materials and products.
- Manage procurement budgets and ensure cost-effective purchasing practices.
- Collaborate with the production team to understand and meet quality and procurement requirements.
- Communicate quality control standards and procedures to all relevant departments.
- Provide training and support to staff on quality control processes and standards.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in quality control and procurement practices.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality and efficiency.
Person Specification
- BSc / HND in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as quality control and procurement in the fashion industry mandatory.
- Strong knowledge of quality control standards and procedures.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with inventory management software.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Salary
N150,000 per month.
