Job Summary
- Manage and maintain accounting records, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, and other financial data. Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and other financial accounts regularly.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements to provide insights and recommendations to the Finance/Account Manager.
Work Duties / Responsibilities
- Preparation, processing, and maintenance of financial records, invoices, and documents.
- Enter and reconcile financial transactions, such as invoices, payments, receipts, and journal entries, in accounting software or spreadsheets.
- Verify and reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, resolving discrepancies and ensuring accuracy.
- Prepare and process invoices, purchase orders, expense reports, and other financial documents for approval and payment.
- Monitor and follow up on outstanding invoices, payments, and receivables, communicating with customers and vendors as needed.
- Bank reconciliations, cash flow management, and petty cash handling, ensuring proper documentation and recording of transactions.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, ledgers, and files, organizing documents and data for easy retrieval and reference.
- Month-end and year-end closing activities, including preparation of financial statements, schedules, and reports.
- Budget preparation, variance analysis, and financial forecasting, providing support to finance managers as needed.
- Support internal and external audits, providing documentation, explanations, and assistance to auditors as required.
- Financial analysis, reporting, and presentation of financial data, trends, and insights to support decision-making.
- Perform other administrative tasks and special projects assigned by the finance manager or supervisor to support departmental goals and objectives.
Qualifications / Requirements
- HND / B.Sc in Accounting, Business or Finance. A Master’s Degree or equivalent will be an added advantage.
- Minimum of five (5) years of accounting experience.

- Effective written and oral communication skills
- Excellent time-management skills and able to handle pressure well
- Expertise in Microsoft Office suite and financial accounting software
- Deep understanding of tax regulations and reporting requirements
- Strong quantitative and analytical ability

- Excellent communication and organization skills.
Budget
- The budget range for the role is N120,000 – N150,000 monthly.
