Job Summary
- The Sales Manager, HMO, is responsible for developing, implementing, and executing strategic sales plans to attract new members to the HMO and retain existing ones.
- This role involves overseeing the sales team, managing relationships with clients and healthcare providers, and ensuring that sales targets and customer satisfaction levels are met.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Strategy and Planning:
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to meet organizational goals.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify new sales opportunities.
- Create sales plans and budgets, forecasting sales targets and projecting profitability.
Team Management:
- Recruit, train, mentor, and manage a team of sales representatives.
- Set performance targets for the sales team and monitor their progress.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.
Client Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders.
- Address client inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly and professionally.
- Conduct regular client meetings to understand their needs and offer tailored solutions.
Sales Operations:
- Oversee day-to-day sales operations and ensure the sales team adheres to company policies and procedures.
- Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics and generate regular reports for senior management.
- Ensure the sales team uses CRM software effectively to track sales activities and client interactions.
Marketing Collaboration:
- Work closely with the marketing team to develop promotional materials and campaigns.
- Participate in marketing events, health fairs, and community outreach programs to promote the HMO.
- Provide input on advertising and promotional strategies to enhance brand awareness and drive sales.
Compliance and Reporting:
- Ensure all sales activities comply with industry regulations and company policies.
- Prepare and submit regular sales reports to senior management.
- Stay informed about industry developments and legislative changes that may impact the HMO’s operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Healthcare Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7years of experience in sales, preferably within the healthcare or insurance industry.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations and HMO operations is a plus.
