Position Overview
- As the Finance Analyst, you will play a crucial role in managing financial activities, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and contributing to strategic decision-making processes.
- The ideal candidate will possess a first degree in accounting, and demonstrate expertise in financial modelling, reporting, analysis, advisory, account receivables, in-depth knowledge of financial regulations, accounting processes and other key accounting functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Conducting financial analysis and providing insights to support decision-making.
- Understand and evaluate cashflow scenarios.
- Creating and maintaining financial models for forecasting and budgeting.
- Generating and analyzing financial reports for management review.
- Providing financial advisory services to support business growth and profitability.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure financial compliance.
- Analyzing present financial performance and making strategic recommendations.
- Performing periodic reviews and financial evaluations
- Preparing projections and forecasts based on past and present financial data
- Creating financial models (often in Excel) to inform strategies and forecasts
- Working with big data sets to analyze market, industry, and sector trends and their impact on the business.
- Identifying investment opportunities and studying risk factors.
- Developing reports, tools, and Excel dashboards for financial reporting, analysis, and forecasting.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
- ICAN or ACCA certification/cost accounting experience is required but not compulsory.
- Thorough understanding of GAAP and relevant accounting software.
- Proven experience in financial modeling, analysis, planning, and reporting.
- Strong analytical, leadership and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Salary
N250,000 – N300,000 monthly.
