Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Account Officer to join our team at TollyClassic Delivery, a leading warehouse and logistics company. The Account Officer will play a crucial role in managing financial transactions, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting the overall financial health of the organization. This position requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with other departments.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for all transactions, including invoices, receipts, and payments.
  • Prepare and manage ledgers, balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports.
  • Ensure all financial records are compliant with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Process and monitor accounts payable and receivable transactions.
  • Verify and reconcile invoices and payments.
  • Follow up on outstanding invoices and ensure timely collection of payments from clients.
  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Monitor and report on budget variances and suggest corrective actions as needed.
  • Provide financial analysis and insights to support business decisions.
  • Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy and consistency of financial records.
  • Resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Process payroll for company employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with payroll laws.
  • Maintain payroll records and handle payroll-related queries.
  • Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management review.
  • Provide insights and recommendations based on financial analysis.
  • Implement and maintain effective internal control systems to safeguard company assets.
  • Conduct periodic audits and reviews to ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional certification (e.g., ACCA, ACA, CPA) is a plus.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably in the logistics or warehouse industry.
  • Proven experience with accounting software and financial management systems.

Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High level of integrity and professionalism.
  • Proactive and self-motivated with a strong work ethic.

Working Conditions:

  • This is a full-time position based at our Abuja warehouse.
  • The role be at the office Mondays – Saturdays.
  • Required to resume immediately

Salary
N150,000 / Month
