Job Title: Accountant

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Management: Oversee all financial activities including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and present accurate and timely financial statements and reports, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with local, national, and international financial regulations and standards.
  • Cost Control: Implement and monitor cost control measures to optimize profitability.
  • Taxation: Manage all aspects of taxation including planning, compliance, and filing for both domestic and international operations.
  • Audit Management: Coordinate and manage internal and external audits, ensuring all financial records are accurate and compliant.
  • Accounts Payable and Receivable: Supervise the accounts payable and receivable processes to ensure timely and accurate processing.
  • Inventory Accounting: Oversee inventory accounting and reconciliation, ensuring accurate stock levels and valuation.
  • Financial Strategy: Provide strategic financial advice to senior management to support decision-making and business growth.
  • System Improvement: Identify and implement improvements in accounting systems and processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and develop the accounting team, providing mentorship and training to ensure high performance.
  • Export Documentation: Oversee the preparation and management of financial documentation related to export activities, including invoices, shipping documents, and customs declarations.
  • Risk Management: Identify financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, with a significant portion in a leadership role. Experience in the export or international trade sector is highly desirable.

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Excellent understanding of financial regulations and standards.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
