We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Radiotherapist

Location: Ebonyi
Employment Type: Full-time
Reports To: Lead RTT

Responsibilities

  • Provide individualized radiation therapy treatments to patients, in consultation with the team.
  • Explain the radiation therapy process to patients and answer their questions.
  • Administer radiation therapies as per patients ‘ treatment plans.
  • Use medical imaging equipment to ensure treatments are delivered accurately.
  • Access patients’ reactions to treatment, provide advice on the side effects of treatments and, methods.
  • Monitor the progress of patient’s and suggest the amendments to treatment plans, when necessary.
  • Provide ongoing support to patients and their families.
  • Perform quality assurance tests on stimulation and treatment machines to ensure they are in working order.
  • Provide thorough and accurate documentation of set-up instructions and treatment parameters and records each day’s treatments.
  • Undertake research in order to improve treatment methods.
  • Perform Computed Tomography (CT) simulations and Reminiscence Therapy (RT) sessions.
  • Assist patients with pain management and support their family.
  • Prepare and submit patient health reports as appropriate.
  • Adhere to radiation safety practices for patients, personnel, and self, including shielding when appropriate.
  • Report equipment malfunctions and/or erratic operations to Lead Radiation Therapist or physicist immediately.
  • Interact with patients and obtain information necessary for the drafting of reports.
  • Perform other duties as maybe assigned by management.
  • Provide timely, detailed, and frequent reporting to the company’s board of Directors.
  • Apart from the above duties and responsibilities, your job description may be modified by the company from time to time.

Qualifications

  • BSc or PGD in Radiotherapy or related fields
  • Radiographers’ Registration Board of Nigeria (RBBN) certification.
  • post registration nursing experience in oncology or specialty to be confident and competent in using the required skills to do the job. of the latest trends in medical equipment for the specialty.

Salary
