We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Product Designer

Location: Lagos
Job Type: Full time
Department: Sales

Job Overview

  • Creating user-centered designs for products or services, focusing on both functionality and aesthetics.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand user needs, define design requirements, and iterate on design solutions.
  • Use various tools and techniques such as wireframing, prototyping, and user testing to create intuitive and visually appealing interfaces.
  • The goal is to enhance the user experience and drive product adoption and satisfaction.

Roles and Responsibilities
Objective: Elevate Product Design Quality and User Experience:

Key Results:

  • Conduct user research and gather feedback from at least three user testing sessions to identify pain points and areas for improvement in existing product designs.
  • Iterate on design solutions based on user feedback, incorporating at least two new design elements or features to enhance usability and visual appeal.
  • Collaborate with product managers and developers to deliver high-fidelity prototypes for two new product features or enhancements.
  • Receive positive feedback from stakeholders on the usability and effectiveness of design solutions through at least two design reviews.
  • Achieve a minimum satisfaction score of 4 out of 5 in user satisfaction surveys for product designs released during the quarter.

Objective: Enhance Cross-Functional Collaboration and Communication
Key Results:

  • Participate in at least three cross-functional team meetings to gather insights and align design efforts with product goals and priorities.
  • Present design concepts and rationale to stakeholders in at least two design review sessions, effectively articulating the user-centric approach and design decisions.
  • Collaborate with developers to ensure seamless implementation of design solutions, providing timely feedback and support during the development process.
  • Actively contribute to the design team’s knowledge sharing initiatives by sharing at least one design-related article or resource with the team each month.
  • Receive positive feedback from cross-functional team members on collaboration and communication skills in at least two 360-degree feedback sessions.

  • Reports to the Chief Technology Officer

Requirements
Educational Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in a relevant field such as Graphic Design, Interaction Design, Industrial Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), or a related field.

Experience:

  • 3-5 years of professional experience in designing digital products across various platforms.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Possess strong skills in user research, prototyping, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in design tools like Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, or Figma.
  • Excel in user-centered design principles, conducting research, and creating wireframes and prototypes.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills complement their attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

  • Must possess strong problem-solving skills, effective communication, adaptability, and a collaborative mindset, combined with a passion for continuous learning and staying updated on emerging technologies.

Salary
NGN300,000 / Month (Gross)
