Job Title: Field Engineer

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • We are seeking an experienced Field Engineer who will Carry out suitable and sufficient risk assessments in line with company procedures before work is undertaken, and assist in the testing of antenna systems for fault finding and subsequent rectification.

Job Responsibilities

  • Climbing and working safely at heights, including up to 100 meters.
  • Conducting installations of radios, antenna systems, fiber optic, and data cables.
  • Performing risk assessments prior to work.
  • Testing antenna systems and conducting visual inspections.
  • Assisting in cable repairs and installation tasks.
  • Assisting in the preparation of site reports and inputting data into company database.
  • Flexibility in working hours and willingness to work away from home occasionally.
  • Coordinating purchase orders and material requests.
  • Ensuring timely completion of job completion certificates and other required reports.
  • Familiarity with tools, weatherproofing, earthing skills, and PPE.
  • Basic Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Qualification and Skills

  • Minimum Diploma in Science & Technology.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Rigger in the Telecom industry.
  • Extensive knowledge of telecom technologies.
  • Familiarity with radios, microwave, LAN, and WIFI networks.
  • Ability to troubleshoot link issues.
  • Knowledge of database and networking security systems.
  • Customer service orientation.
  • Innovation.
  • Strong planning, organizational, time management, and stress management skills.
  • Self-motivation and attention to detail.
  • Collaboration and coordination with team members.
  • Vendor management, integrity, and honesty.
  • Interpersonal skills, resourcefulness, and a customer-oriented approach.

Salary 
N900,000 – N1,200,000 Per Annum plus Other Benefits.
