Job Title: Bank Teller / Customer Service Officer

Location: Lekki, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Role Summary

  • We are seeking to hire an experienced Bank Teller/Customer Service Officer who will be providing exceptional service to our customers, by handling routine tasks, such as processing payments, accepting deposits, and handling withdrawals.
  • The Bank Teller/Customer Service Officer will respond to customer requests and inquiries, make necessary recommendations about bank products and services, maintain and balance cash supplies, and keep track of bank records and financial information.
  • Successful candidates must be highly organized, attentive to details, and committed to promoting the Bank’s image through exceptional service.

Accountabilities
Complying &Maintaining Operations Procedures:

  • Maintain the bank’s internal control standards, including the timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators.
  • Assist customers with their transactions, not limited to the following:
    • Cash withdrawal/deposits/transfers/bulk cash
    • Collection/release of security items/docs.
    • Process customers’ banking services instructions.
    • Handle group emergency withdrawal
    • Perform cash balancing duties.
  • Execute all back-end tasks in a timely manner.

Scope of Work
The scope of work not limited to:

  • Perform enclosed duties, sort and dispatch mail
  • Perform sorting and batching of cheques for clearing.
  • Handle customer’s banking services instruction.
  • Perform daily balancing of security items
  • Perform housekeeping of safe deposit box documents.
  • Support internal operational duties including maintaining a safe deposit box and administrative responsibilities.

Assist customers on safe deposit services, not limited to the following:

  • Open/Close of Accounts
  • Assess lockers
  • Support routine tasks of handling customer inquiries effectively using knowledge of established policies and procedures.
  • Ensure that the service principles and standards are followed to meet the service benchmark.
  • Provide solutions to meet customers’ inquiries promptly and efficiently, within reasonable timelines.
  • Encourage feedback from customers as part of a continuous improvement process.

Quality Service Delivery:

  • Deliver quality service to both internal and external customers. These include the following;
  • Ensure that the service principles and standards are followed to meet the service benchmarks.
  • Provide solutions to meet customers’ inquiries promptly and efficiently, within reasonable timelines.
  • Encourage feedback from customers as part of the continuous improvement process.
  • Provide support in building teamwork as part of a cohesive work environment.

Operational Risk Management:

  • Monitor and critically watch out for any suspicious transactions, and report to relevant parties to reduce risk.
  • Execute transactions accurately and timely to prevent any error resulting in losses.
  • Perform all other tasks as may be assigned.

Job Requirements
Technical Competencies:

  • Interested candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree in relevant fields with 3 – 5 years work experience.
  • Microsoft Suites (MS Excel, Word, PowerPoints)
  • Must have Hands-on experience using Bank Operations Software
  • Must have strong numerical and Analytical Skills
  • Must have Hands-on experience on cash handling.
  • Exceptional time management, and customer service skills.
  • Strong sales and product marketing skills is a plus
  • High level of accountability, efficiency and accuracy.

  • Leadership Skills – Ability to work independently with a high degree of initiative/proactivity.
  • Communication Skills – Have excellent written and verbal communication skills and also be able to convey ideas &positions clearly.
  • Planning &Organizing – Ability to establish priorities, plan, coordinate and monitor own work plan.
  • Collaborative Skills – Ability to work effectively with team in carrying and executing assignments.

Salary

  • N100,000 – N120,000 monthly.
